May 11th 2011 - Little Hallingbury Mill - Clare and Colin
Congratulations to Clare Ward, my lovely bride today who married Colin at Little Hallingbury Mill..........photographs of her trial below as I am awaiting the professional ones from her photographer due to a rather unfortunate accident with my camera!!! Thank goodness I had downloaded everything before it hit the conservatory floor!!!

It has been especially busy for the last couple of months with bridal trials and the increasing amount of ladies requiring the latest, extremely addictive, eye opening treatment.......lash extensions. Fabulous for your wedding day as no mascara is required and will remain perfect for your honeymoon and for weeks after. Flutterly gorgeous!!!!
Very early start today for a local wedding and a reception on "Hydrogen" on the river. Very soft and romantic hair up for the bride Elizabeth with a very natural "English Rose" make-up. Looking forward to seeing some of the professsional photographs as the dress was a fabulous vintage design.

April 29th 2011 - Royal Wedding Day!!
Congratulations to my bride today, Louise Curtis who married at Friern Manor, Dunton.
I applied make up to create a very matt neutral look and then used shades of taupe and matt brown on the eyes with a nude shade on the lips. This suited her perfectly and went with the fabulous simple large bun her hair stylist Gemma had styled for her.

Dawn Taylor Wedding Beauty
Hi Ladies, not been blogging for a while as so busy with my favourite thing in the world - wedding make up trials - I love my job, or in the words of my husband "my obsession"!!!!
Remember, my prices are still extremeley reasonable and I still have some dates available for this year. Although, as you have probably discovered the cost of your wedding can easily escalate and you suddenly find yourself thinking how am I going to make some savings so I will let you into a few secrets if you are doing your make up yourself.
Although you want to look your most fabulous on your wedding day the weeks leading up to your wedding are also very important in making your skin look as good as possible so a good diet, skin care routine (although don't drastically change a routine just before your wedding day) and plenty of water are a must. It can be pretty stressful leading up to your big day as pulling all of those last minute arrangements together can be a bit of an anxious time and may lead to a bit of a breakout. Please don't be tempted to pick as this can be trickier to cover up if the skin is broken.
Groomed eyebrows are big this season and an absolute must is a good eyebrow shape. There are some fabulous products out there to enhance your brows if they are thinning, you have over-plucked or just for grooming. Most every day make up ranges now have a "brow kit", - Although my favourite is Bobbie Brown you can buy these from Benefit, Urban Decay and even Superdrug's GOSH range have a very good kit.
You want your make up to last you all day so therefore a good primer is a must and my preferred choice of base is a mineral product (long lasting, great coverage as you build it up and use more in the areas that you need) and if applied correctly can give you that completely flawless look.
I am not going to give you all of my secrets, but I will give you one more pointer: -
Lips - the one thing that is not going to last you all day and night, so once you have decided on the shade of lipstick you are going for line your lips in the same colour pencil and then fill in the whole of the lip area with colour, then apply one coat of lipstick, blot, then apply another and then gloss if you want it. Lipstick can then be topped up at appropriate moments.
One more piece of advice, get one of your bridesmaids to bring an "emergency kit" for you small scissors, (the number of times I have seen bridesmaids running around trying to find scissors because they still have labels on their dresses) needle/thread/safety pins, tissues, small hairspray crochet hook (weird, I know, but fabulous for doing up tiny buttons if you have them on your dress!) wipes for making sure hands are squeaky clean before helping you into your dress, and of course your lipstick!

Very busy week which has seen about 12 sets of eyelash extensions, eyelash perming and tinting, a spray tanning pamper evening on Friday, and finally ended today with trial make up for a lovely girl I did make up for as a bridesmaid last year who is to become a May bride this year, and her Mum.

Saturday 5th February - New Lash Extension Service at Tranquility Hatfield Peveral
Its been a busy week!!! Everyone is wanting to "get lashed" and I am now going to be lashing the lovely ladies in Hatfield Peveral. Tranquility will now be offering my lash extension and spray tanning services with effect from Monday 7th February. Don't forget that I am also based at Park Drive Health Club in Maldon as well as being mobile.
Spray Tanning Parties are now also available and if you get 5 of your girly friends together, plus yourself, you will receive your lovely golden glow completely free! So what excuse do you need to grab a glass of bubbly, and make yourself look and feel better with a fabulous tan whilst having a fun night in with the girls!!
