Its been a while!  Its been eventful!

We have been busy preparing for "the move".  Half of the house now into the new one, and hopefully by the end of the week we will be fully moved in!

Congratulations to all of my lovely brides over the last few weeks, you know who you are, and remember I want all of those promised photos as I didn't get to see all of you in your dresses!  Huge congratulations to Deb who married her gorgeous Marine last November, love the scan of your little  "squiggle" due this year!  Lets hope its a "pink one" eh Deb!

After much excitement the Brit Chic Wedding Shoot at Great Hallingbury Manor took place last Thursday (5th April).  What a fab day, met some wonderful wedding related suppliers, who all worked brilliantly together and some of the images are absolutely wonderful.  So girls if you need any info on photographers, videographers, wedding planners, stationary/flowers/cakes, wedding entertainment, wedding dresses, entertainment and wedding jewellery for your big day then I can certainly point you in the right direction.

This Sunday sees me at The Essex Vintage Wedding Fair at The Shire Hall in Chelmsford (15th).  So if  you re thinking of having a vintage inspired wedding theme then come and see me for some ideas re hair and make up and maybe a mini demo.

Where's January Gone?

Well its been a bit frantic so far! I don't see any change in the number of brides wanting to look absolutely perfect for their wedding day and it looks like 2012 will hopefully be as busy as ever. February is very busy and my first wedding this year being on the 18th at The Fennes, Bocking for the lovely Michelle.  Engagement party make up and hair next week for Sam who got engaged to Floyd on Christmas day 2011. April seems to be the month for me, having had the total of 6 requests for the 14th!  May and June are also filling up fast, and I have also had 2 requests for dates in 2013 for a couple of obviously well organised brides.

January has been a mixture of bridal hair and make up trials for Spring brides and a constant stream of "lash addicts" returning for their infills after having them for the Christmas/New Year party season and becoming addicted!

I have also re-vamped my website, so take a look and let me know what you all think?  Its a lot sleeker and hopefully easier to understand as I thought my original site was a little confusing as I was learning at the time.  http://www.dawntaylorbeauty.co.uk

Moving house is imminent as the house we bought last year is almost ready to move into.  My lovely hubby has built me a purpose built studio at the back of the house which is going to give me a lot more space, and where I can also showcase a selection of wedding related suppliers that I can recommend.

December 2011 - Nearly Christmas!

Its been more than a month since I last posted!  Where does the time go?

Sad, that I didn't get through to the finals of the 2012 Wedding Industry Awards, but happy that I made the regional shortlist. Good luck to those that did!

Congratulations to all my brides during the last few weeks.............Jessica, Kerry, Jenny and last but not least, Tara (and of course, not forgetting all the lovely bridesmaids and Mothers of the Brides/Grooms!  Looking forward to seeing some of the photographs!

With less than 2 weeks to go before the end of the year, I now have the dreaded tax return to do and my new website design to help finish to incorporate my new logo.

Sooooooo pleased, I have been notified that I have been shortlised for the 2012 Wedding Industry Awards.  Love my job!!!!!!!

Its still busy!!  Bridal trials for Spring 2012 and the girls are still liking the vintage make up and hair look, with a few classic favourites thrown in.  Lash Extensions are still featuring heavily in my timetable and don't forget lashes will be £50 for a full set until the end of December 2011.........so there's no excuse not to "Get Lashed" for all of those Christmas Parties.

Last weekend I attended the Wedding Fayre at Forrester Park and met some lovely brides to be looking for make up and hair inspiration for their up and coming weddings.  It was great fun chatting, giving advice and a few demonstrations of how we could achieve that flawless, long lasting look for their big day.

Congratulations to the now Mrs Deb Edwards who married at Leez Priory on Saturday 5th November 2011.......I have to say I don't think I have ever met a more exited bride to be when I arrived at the early hour of 7.30 in order to provide make up services for her and her maid of honour and hair up for her maid of honour and 2 bridesmaids.  I arrived at the address and was not sure that I had the right house until I noticed the extremely sparkly shoes through the window and knew I had the right address!!!!  Deb is a very girly, girl and looked fabulous in her gown with her 3 bridesmaids in a gorgeous shade of pale pink.

This coming week I have no weddings, but a few trials, some make up for a ball and hair and make up for a friend going to a fabulous wedding on Saturday.

Its been a few weeks since I have had some time to post. What a beautiful month for weather October has been so far, especially for all of those brides and grooms who chose October for their big day! 

Very exited as my new Beauty Studio is being built and I will be ready to start equiping after Christmas.  It will give me a lot more space and I will be able to have separate areas for different treatments.............luxury! Obviously my main area will be for consultations and trials for my brides and their wedding parties, and the new set up will give me plenty of space for make up and hair.  Another area will be for eyes, where I will be carrying out lash extensions, lash tinting and perming and brow tinting and shaping. Eyes are my speciality and its amazing what you can do to open up the eye, and in some cases it can give the effect of a mini facelift!!  Spray Tanning and UV Gel Polish will also be available and I will be opening up the outside area in order to cater for pamper days, either for hens, mother/daughter days, birthdays, etc.

Another busy week last week, whilst nursing my poor dog Gracie, who is still suffering after being bitten by a fox!!!

Make-up trials for a couple of December brides, lots of lash extensions.....and I mean LOTS! I feel like I have now lashed most of Essex.

The week ended yesterday with a Teen Make Over Party.  The birthday girl had a selection of girlfriends over who each had a make up lesson and professional make-up by me and hair was styled by Emma-Louise Renton......really enjoyed doing this and the girls had a great time.
